Dan Maraye is responding to allegations against him after an anonymous letter landed at the Financial Crimes Commission, reporting him over an alleged influence peddling case dating back to 2006.

The Ombudsperson for Financial Services, who spoke to the press on Friday morning, July 5, stated that the recruitments within AML had been unanimously approved by the board of directors.

Dan Maraye says he does not take anonymous letters seriously.

A preliminary investigation will soon begin into alleged influence peddling and misuse of his public office for gratifications dating back to the time he held the position of Chief Executive Officer of Airports of Mauritius Ltd (AML) in 2006. The whistleblower reports the recruitment of a senior executive at AML by Dan Maraye.
