The Ministry of the Environment, in collaboration with the Quatre-Bornes town hall, is organizing the second anti-waste fair on July 6 and 7 at the Quatre-Bornes municipality from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Several areas will be set up:

The Repair Corner

MITD technicians will be on hand to provide advice and perform repairs on a variety of electrical appliances, clothing, furniture and other items. They will perform basic repairs on household appliances, computers and cell phones, as well as minor repairs on plumbing parts. Shoe repairs will also be on hand.

The Recycling Corner

Visitors will be able to bring plastic bottles and containers, cans, CDs, newspapers, magazines, cardboard and paper to deposit them in dedicated bins.

The Donation Corner for Reused Items

Visitors can donate clothes, shoes, toys, household appliances in good condition and other items. These donations will be redistributed to needy families through a non-governmental organization.

In addition, the fair will sell a variety of ecological and recycled products, such as objects made from vacoa fibers, coconut fibers and other local products made from recycled materials.
