“The Heist”, a Bollywood film, will be in theatres on July 19. This production directed by Aditya Awandhe was half shot in Mauritius. Four Mauritians are also in the cast, including one who is the lead actor.

Last week, the trailer and three songs of the film 'The Heist' were launched. Directed by Aditya Awandhe, known for his role as second assistant director on films like 'Kabir Singh', 'Commando 2', 'Force 2' and 'Ab Tak Chappan 2', is unveiling his first feature film as a lead director.

“The Heist” promises to captivate audiences with its thrilling plot and dazzling performances. The film was shot over 50% in Mauritius, showcasing the island’s breathtaking landscapes. It also marks a first in featuring a Mauritian lead actor, Nad Sham, as well as a Mauritian actor playing two separate characters. Other Mauritians also feature, including host Ryan Jeeawock, Raakesh Roshan Bhoojedhur and Olivier Dylan.

Others include Siddhant Kapoor, the main 'villain' of the film who is none other than the son of legendary Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor and brother of the famous Shraddha Kapoor. Miss India 2023, who will represent India at Miss World 2025, Nandini Gupta is also in the game.

Miss India 2019 and Miss World 2019 runner-up Suman Rao also stars. Pratyaksh Rajbhatt, known for his role as the main villain in Netflix’s hit series ‘Aranyak’ with Raveena Tandon, is among the cast, as is Jagat Rawat, seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ with Aamir Khan and Tasneem Khan, known for her role in ‘Tandav’ with Saif Ali Khan.

The film will be released in India, the UK, the US, the UAE and South Africa. It is scheduled to release on July 19. To know that “The Heist” tells the thrilling story of a team that seeks to rob a billionaire fugitive to recover his stolen money and dismantle his smuggling network. This thriller promises twists and turns and moments of intense suspense.

'The Heist' has three songs: 'Aaja Bairi' – sung by Mauritian actor Nad Sham and multi-award winning Bollywood singer Palak Muchhal (known for her performances in 'Aashiqui 2', 'MS Dhoni', 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'), 'Meri Heere' and 'Raftaar Se Nikle' sung by Himanshu Kohli.
