Nityanand Mity Ragnuth, 74, registered as an independent candidate during the nomination papers for the by-election at No. 10 (Montagne-Blanche/GRSE), this Thursday, July 11. This resident of Camp-Ithier, Flacq, is a former teacher who now works as an investment consultant.

“I am not too happy with the traditional parties and their programmes,” Nityanand Mity Ragnuth confided on his way out. “We need more meritocracy and use natural resources wisely,” the former teacher argued.
