Everyone wanted to pay a final tribute to Dev Manraj this Tuesday, June 18, at his home in Vacoas. Among them were former senior civil servant Sateeavyed Seeballuck, former Central Bank governor Dan Maraye, as well as Chandan Jankee and Gilles L'Entêté.

Dev Manraj was a “hard worker,” says Dan Maraye, who has known the financial secretary since he was studying in England. The deceased contributed a lot to the country, in many sectors, adds the former governor of the Central Bank.

“A monument has gone,” declares Gilles L’Entêté.

Financial Secretary Dev Manraj died on Monday, June 17, at the age of 75, following an illness. His funeral will take place tomorrow, Wednesday June 18.
