The renewal of declarations for private vehicles will be done only online, starting July 31. This was announced by Alan Ganoo in Parliament on Tuesday, June 18. The Minister of Land Transport spoke during the budgetary debates this morning.

It's one of the most common transactions at National Land Transport Authority (NLTA) counters, Ganoo said. However, to ensure a good transition to online services, the public will be able to renew their declarations by post until December 1, he said.

Another announcement: transactions carried out at the NLTA bring in Rs 2.8 billion per year to the State, underlines Alan Ganoo, adding that the NLTA workforce has also been strengthened, from 27 to 69 employees.
