“No party has really won a majority in the French National Assembly to govern in stability. A situation similar to the 1976 elections in Mauritius,” analyses international lawyer Parvez Dhooky the day after the second round of legislative elections in France.

The New Popular Front came out on top, followed by Emmanuel Macron's Ensemble party and Marine Le Pen's RN.

According to Parvez Dhooky, the issues related to immigration and dual nationality have been put aside for the time being, while the new government is formed.
