The PTr-MMM-ND alliance held a meeting this evening at Universal College in Rivière-du-Rempart. The two leaders, Navin Ramgoolam and Paul Bérenger, were not present. Arvin Boolell, PTr deputy and leader of the opposition, declared that Navin Ramgoolam and Paul Bérenger are in consultation to finalize the list of candidates of this alliance for the next legislative elections. “The choice of candidates has already been made in several constituencies,” he said.

Ajay Gunness, deputy leader of the MMM, promises that in the event of victory for the PTr-MMM-ND alliance, municipal and village elections will be enshrined in the Constitution so that these ballots cannot be postponed. He maintains that the PTr-MMM-ND alliance will not field a candidate for the partial at No. 10 because, according to him, we cannot spend Rs 30 million to hold an election in October when Parliament will be automatically dissolved in November .

Richard Duval, MP for New Democrats, also spoke.
