Thunderstorms, landslides and floods caused by torrential monsoons in Nepal killed at least 14 people on Wednesday, the country's disaster risk management authority said Thursday.

Among the dead, four including two children were buried in a landslide that swept away three houses in Lamjung district west of the capital Kathmandu, said Dijan Bhattarai, spokesperson for the Authority. National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (NDRRMA).

Other landslides killed four more people, five lost their lives after being struck by lightning, and another drowned due to floods, he added.

Floods have killed six more people since the start of the monsoon in June in Nepal.
