We want to reserve a hotel in Mauritius for next year. Which hotel would be ideal for us, considering we want good food and a great beach? Additionally, is the end of August a good time to visit? Some hotel options include Solana beach, Zilwa attitude, Lagoon attitude, Veranda Tamarin, and Sunrise attitude.

In August you need a hotel stay in flic en flac because the west is the best

Spike Farrell answered 10 months ago

Lagoon Attitude is a good hotel out of those you mention. August is not really a good time to go on the east coast, rather North West that time of the year. If August is your month, possibly Veranda Pointe Aux Biches.

August I would say Lagoon attitude, but it doesn’t have the long expanse of beach.
August is winter, average temp 24 degrees daily.
East coast has the trade winds, which make it feel a little cooler that time of year.

May I recommend “ La Pirogue “ in Flic en Flac.

This place is very underrated as many would prefer to flock to the more expensive hotels in other regions of the island.

I think that this Hotel has great accommodation, buffet Breakfast, and buffet dinner.

I always hear people mention how nice the hotel staff was.. but keep in mind that hotel staff are nice in pretty much all hotels in Mauritius..

The place is close to several great restaurants that you can go for lunch and of course the beach.

Flic en Flac beach is my-wife’s favourite beach.

To be honest I do not quite understand why many would flock to some resort from their marketing point of view.

Again, it will all depend on your budget and your taste.

But expensive taste does not mean anything to me personally.

We had 2 weeks from 21st august at the Victoria beachcomber on the west side. Weather was lovely and between 25-28 and not humid

Mauritius' national flag is also referred to as the Four Bands owing to the four coloured stripes each with its significance - Red symbolizes the bloodshed for abolishing slavery and attaining independence, Blue symbolizes the vast and mighty Indian Ocean surrounding Mauritius, Yellow symbolizes the bright and shining future ahead, and Green symbolizes the lush green vegetation on the island.
