QuestionsAccommodation-HotelsHeritage Awali or Heritage Le Telfair?
Anonymous asked 9 months ago

Which in your opinion is better - Heritage Awali or Heritage Le Telfair.
Husband loves golf and I love cocktails and nice dinners (and being able to dine around)
Also and only if you have time could you say your reason and preferred room?
Thank you so much (in a dilemma)

If you go premium all inclusive to Heritage Awali you can dine at the restaurants in Le Telfair. I thought the bar at Heritage for drinks and entertainment had a great atmosphere before and after dinner. I would think the rooms at Le Telfair are better as they were comfortable but basic at Heritage. Either way and depending on budget, you can’t go wrong 😁

Sister hotels. So you will have access to both of their restaurants. Generally Telfair is for a more premium, quality driven clientèle vs Awali

Gourmet Bliss is the better package period. On the hotel it depends a bit what style you like, Awali is African style with reet roofs, brown color scheme, all a bit dark. Tel Fair is french/english colonial style white/black color scheme. Awali is more raw, more relaxed, telfair is more style a bit conservative, stricter, but yet with the same amazing friendly staff. i only stayed at telfair as its more my personal style and mostly know awali from dinner and the daily coconut shack visit ^^ i think you will have a fantastic vacation at both but i prefer telfair.

for your husband, check if the new golf course is included in awali ai, not sure about that, before deciding.

pps: telfair is also situated at the middle with golf, c beach club etc. much nearer.

We are at the awali now and love the more natural feel. Telfair is more colonial. Use of all restaurants so best of both

Telfair is more expensive, has more inclusions.

Having just come back from the Awali and met a couple from Telfair. There is little to chose between them other than the cost. The Telfair comes with access to every restaurant across the two hotels. Awali comes with access to their restaurants with lunch at the golf club and Telfair. The difference in cost is considerable. I chose a garden room at the Awali and had a super two week break with all golf and watersports FoC. Sarah Lake did a fanatic job of booking everything from flights, accommodation, transfers and hire car for for trips around the island. Sarah even managed my return flights, accommodation and transfers after my flight home was delayed. I sat in the bar and enjoyed another 24 hours at the Awali free gratis 🀣🀣 whatever you chose will be time well spent πŸ‘

While being ruled by the French East India Company, sugarcane plantations prospered in Mauritius, making it one of the most significant contributors to the economy. Mauritius also remained an important stopping point on the trade routes from Europe before the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.
