QuestionsGeneral-MiscFasting and Chickenpox – tradition or superstition
Terrible_Parking7006 asked 9 months ago

Hello, I've grown up hearing about fasting during chickenpox, but I remain perplexed about the actual purpose behind it. I would greatly appreciate if someone could share their personal experiences and viewpoints on this matter. My intention is to gain a deeper understanding of whether there are any medical justifications for fasting during chickenpox. Thanks, TP

It’s not about the fasting in so much as eating veggies and fruits and avoiding anything too salty spicy and acidic. Just Google chickenpox and food to avoid or promote. Ull get all ur answers and why people just said let’s fast.

Fasting can stimulate autophagy which would encourage you to heal quicker.
