Gen Xers! What would be your absolute number 1 place if you could only visit one place again in Mauritius?
I'm scared of missing something outstanding like I've researched since summer and only just spotted grand bassin - I really don't want to miss anything spectacular.
Other gens, no offense but I ache and overheat and have age related grumpiness so a hike up le morne would not be on my agenda 😅

Mauritius means something different to different people .
I love to walk up to Marie Reine de la Paix and look out over Port Louis and the harbour , just to put Mauritius into perspective . At the opposite end of the spectrum , to sit on La Prenuese beach at sunset .

Lots of awesome places, but my number 1 was Le Morne Beach and the whole area down there.

L île au Bénitiers sans hésitation et la plage belle mare qui est paradisiaque la plus belle!!!!!!

Have no idea what a Gen xer is… just googled it and apparently it’s me. 😂😂

There’s more than one thing to see, the south is beautiful if you want to be in a car driving around and stopping at view points.
For me it would be drinking wine on a boat, while sailing to flat island on a catamaran. Enjoying snorkelling and the experience of the ocean.

Basically anything with wine and food would suit me perfectly! 😂

Honestly…I rented Ile De Deux Cocos for a night and that’s the one thing I’d do again. It was a magical day to have the island and villa to ourselves. The food and service was awesome.

Mauritius' local cuisine is a sumptuous blend of Creole, Indian, French and Chinese cuisines. Spices play an essential role in enhancing the food's taste and seafood including fish, crabs, lobsters, squid, prawns, shrimps and octopus is extremely popular throughout the island.
