Job description: About Us :

Our client is a Trust and Management company located in Port-Louis.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Preparation of cashbooks, bank reconciliations, general ledgers, periodic management accounts and annual financial statements
• Prepare IFRS accounts, management accounts or financial statements in accordance with international accounting principles and standards
• Consolidation of Accounts
• Preparation & filing of all tax returns (annual, APS, VAT and/or TDS)
• Provide support to the directors in preparation of complex accounting strategies and/or financial statements
• Generally assisting the administration team and the board of directors with financial, tax and general accounting queries
• Attend to the timely completion and submission of FSC Surveys as and when they arise
• Liaise with the Mauritius Revenue Authority for any accounting and/or tax matters including annual APS, TDS or VAT and/or (applications for) tax rulings
• Assisting with billing procedures
• Supervise and monitor banking transactions as required under FIAMLA
• Coach and train junior accounting team members

Profile:

• Fully Qualified or near fully qualified ACCA, CIMA, CA or any other equivalent qualification
• A qualification in tax would be an added advantage
• More than 5 years working experience (2 years or more at senior level would be an advantage)
• Excellent technical knowledge of current international accounting standards.
