The hearing of prosecution witnesses, in the trial brought against Bernard Maigrot for the murder of Vanessa Lagesse, resumed in the Supreme Court this Friday morning, May 31.

Dr. Satish Boolell, the then forensic pathologist, who performed the autopsy on the victim, gave evidence this morning.

He claims that Vanessa Lagesse had multiple injuries on several parts of her body, including a ligature mark on her neck.

According to the doctor, this injury was caused while the victim was alive.

As a reminder, Bernard Maigrot pleaded not guilty to the murder of Vanessa Lagesse. The body of the stylist was discovered in her bathtub on March 9, 2001. The proceedings are chaired by judge Luchmyparsad Aujayeb.
