Archaeological excavations in Albion have been stopped. This is the first phase of work commissioned by the National Heritage Fund (NHF) following the discovery of seven ancient coins by hikers.

These pieces, whose value has not yet been assessed, could be part of La Buse's treasure.

The NHF and the Prime Minister's Office are awaiting the report of George Abungu, a Kenyan expert and archaeologist, to decide on the next steps.

The parts should be sent for analysis shortly. In the meantime, the hikers behind this discovery hope to receive 50% of the loot.
