AfrAsia Bank has a new president

Olivier Jauffret has been appointed as chairman of the board of directors of AfrAsia Bank, effective April 1, 2024. He says he is delighted to take the presidency of this banking institution.

“The bank occupies a unique position in the Mauritian market, which allows it to bring something different to customers and the economy. I look forward to working with the board, senior management and the entire AfrAsia Bank team,” he explains.

As for Thierry Vallet, Managing Director of AfrAsia Bank, he believes that the new president will bring great expertise in the banking field thanks to his long experience within leading law firms specializing in the banking sector. “We look forward to working with him to help us continue our growth together,” he said in a recently released press release.

A graduate of the Aix-en-Provence University of Law and the University of London, Olivier Jauffret holds a DESS and a Master's degree in business law, tax law and accounting. He also has a postgraduate law degree (LL.M) from University College London. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1994 and also held a partner position at Linklaters and Weil Gotshal Manges for more than 20 years.
