Here are the ten key measures of the 2024-2025 Budget

-Guaranteed minimum income: The guaranteed minimum income increases from Rs 18,500 to Rs 20,000.
-CSG Income Allowance: Increase in the CSG Income Allowance.
-School Allowance: An allowance of Rs 2,000 will be granted to children aged 3 to 10 from July 2024.
-Household gas cylinder: The price of a 12 kg household gas cylinder drops from Rs 240 to Rs 190.
-Increase in pensions: Pensions will increase to Rs 14,000 from July 2024 and to Rs 15,000 from January 2025.
-Free internet plan: Introduction of a free internet plan for young people aged 18 to 25.
-Equal Opportunities Allowance: Introduction of an Equal Opportunities Allowance of Rs 2,000 per month for each household earning less than Rs 20,000 per month.
-Maternity and paternity leave: Maternity leave increases from 14 to 16 weeks, paternity leave increases from one to four weeks. -Introduction of a Maternity Allowance of Rs 2,000 for nine months.
-Sanitary napkins: Distribution of sanitary napkins for girls from grade 6 to grade 13.
-Subsidy on exam fees: Full subsidy on SC and HSC exam fees for repeaters.
