Alleged money laundering: provisional charge upheld against Shaan Kumar Choolun

Magistrate Mohammad Ilfaaz Farook Nathire, sitting at the Bambous court, ruled on Tuesday in the case of Shaan Kumar Choolun alias Mithun. The provisional charge of money laundering was maintained against this resident of Morne. The magistrate concluded that the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) has sufficient reasonable suspicion to uphold the provisional charge.

Shaan Kumar Choolun is provisionally accused of having been in possession of a BMW 640i Gran Coupe, illegally acquired for Rs 975,000. Offense committed on December 18, 2022 in Morne.
