Annual Real Estate Forum: more than 350 investors expected

Africa Property Investment for Mauritius and the Indian Ocean regions, will organize the second Annual Real Estate Investment Forum on June 13 at the InterContinental Mauritius Resort, Balaclava.

This event will act as a meeting platform for local and international investors, as well as real estate buyers and developers wishing to establish partnerships and complete transactions in the region. Under the theme “Leading the Future – Building tomorrow'sAfrica”, this event will explore the essential role that Mauritius' real estate sector plays in progressing towards a sustainable future for the African continent. With the expected participation of more than 350 people, 70% of whom are local actors, and the presence of more than 60 renowned international speakers, API Mauritius 2024 promises an enriching experience.

Highlights this year include discussions on the impact of global realities on demand and opportunity creation, the crucial role of AI and technology, opportunities for urban regeneration, as well as the integration of design of public space to promote sustainable development. Additionally, the conference broadens its outlook and will look into the hotel market and coastal activities in the region, highlighting Zanzibar, Mauritius, Madagascar, Seychelles, Maldives and Comoros. Discussions will focus on how international brands can enter this market and the advantages they can offer. Topics also include retirement housing opportunities in Mauritius, as well as the emergence of luxury and unique experiences in the travel sector. Finally, the growing importance of apartment hotels, short-term rentals and residences will be examined, particularly to meet the needs of a new category of travelers.
