This is not simply our job, it’s our passion.About the RoleThe Assistant Manager, Host is responsible for coordinating and orchestrating the operation of the Host department as well as for assisting the Manager, Host in achieving all the operational goals set throughout the year.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelopment

To maintain a polite and a professional interpersonal relationship with both colleagues and guests.
To prepare and to organize pre-shift briefings.
To conduct operational and departmental meetings (as needed).
To provide updated information on Memo.
To create, update, and adhere to departmental SOPs and checklists.

Product

To always represent and promote One&Only Resorts to the best of his/her abilities.
To understand, instill, and live the Company Philosophy.
To ensure compliance with all brand standards, One&Only markers, quality standards, and SOPs.
To be knowledgeable about the facilities and services provided by the sister-hotels of the One&Only Resorts Group.
To maintain confidentiality and privacy.

Operations

To ensure that all the assigned rooms villas are always kept clean and tidy.
To ensure housekeeping services are performed within the timeframes requested by guests.
To have an understanding of all outlets, opening hours, menus, amenities, activities (both on property and offsite).
To use suggestive selling techniques to promote other services of the resort.
To be well-versed on the guests’ folios to better discuss and resolve any guest’s questions or concerns.
To use all the necessary operational system such as Opera, Alice, SAGA etc.
To actively manage and record guests’ preferences and to communicate to the relative departments, ensuring that they are being followed up on and inserted in the appropriate systems (ALICE, SAGA, etc.).
To monitor different types of communication processes and to provide support and recommendations for consistent improvements and to implement change where needed.
To coordinate the delivery of any item, requested by the guest, in cooperation with other departments.
To ensure that the Hygiene & Safety measures dictated by both Local Government and the Resort are followed.
To use communication devices as per the standard of communication established by the Resort.
To report ‘Lost and Found’ property according to Policy & Procedure.

Management

To direct the team in the care and attention to detail in guest services.
To attend morning meeting with the Head of Departments.
To communicate any relevant information, via email, line-ups or one on ones to the staff.
To supervise grooming standards, coordination, checking and completion of the assigned duties of the Host Department.
To manage the team, ensuring the highest standard of performance from them.
To ensure that all colleagues have proper supplies and tools for their daily tasks and activities.
To ensure that all maintenance requests are dealt with in a timely and a professional manner.
To keep the Executive Management informed about activities, progress and results; and information in an appropriate and accurate level of detail.
To inspect and to perform random checks of villas, together with the assigned Host, strictly abiding to the established standards and procedure.

Quality

To consistently improve the quality of service.
To be effective in complaint handling and problem-solving.
To coordinate Arrival and Departure experience; to properly plan, in advance, the intended arrivals to ensure that all guest needs/preferences are prepared.
To welcome, greet, and assist guests with any requests, enquiries, and directions.
To ensure all guests’ requests are successfully completed.
To ensure the team create and follow up any ticket in ALICE, always in a timely manner.
To ensure that all Food & Beverage deliveries are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
To look after guests who need special attention with the upmost care and accuracy.

About youThe desired qualification for this role is at least a diploma in hospitality/hotel management. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the same role in an international Ultra-Luxury Resort and must be fluent in written and spoken English and French.Position open for locals onlyOur brand is expanding faster than ever before.
