This is not simply our job, it’s our passion.About the RoleThe Assistant Manager, Payroll & Banking administers and manages the hotel’s payroll ensuring that local laws are complied with. He/She will be responsible for ensuring that all team members are paid for their hours worked in a timely manner. The Assistant Manager, Payroll & Banking manages payroll staff, if any.He/She will also oversee vacation accruals, team member deductions and payroll statutory reporting. Furthermore, the Assistant Manager, Payroll & Banking will receive and consolidate all cash and checks. Additionally, He/She will prepare for the daily bank deposit as well as will maintain records of daily cash receipts and transactions.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayroll

To comply with the Global Office Payroll Policy.
To ensure that all teamm members in the hotel are paid for their hours reported and applicable statuses.
To ensure that all regulations are fully complied with.
To properly administer all payroll records for all new team members.
To maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations and to advise department managers as to all pertinent payroll information.
To administer payroll deductions for group insurance, tax deposits, team member advances and garnishments.
To distribute Pay slips.
To attend to queries from employees on salary adjustments.
To act as coordinator between the Human Resources department and Finance department.
To prepare Payroll journals, NPF & Paye Report among others.
To assist other team members in the Finance deparmtent in other additional duties, when and if required.

Banking

To prepare Cashier’s Report Daily and to ensure that sufficient funds are on hand for daily operation.
To provide change to hotel staff.
To prepare daily bank deposits in timely manner for armored car pick-up.
To prepare due backs on daily basis for cashiers.
To maintain clear safe of all cashiers’ envelopes and to check money received against remittance report.
To do inventories for daily deposits from cashiers and to report missing deposits or discrepancies between cash envelopes and actual deposits to the Manager, Finance/Director, Finance.
To check foreign exchange purchase and agree rates of exchange being used with those set by the hotel.
To prepare the foreign exchange deposit report.
To prepare the Cash report.
To prepare and submit a bank lodgment for all cash received.
To record and identify any shortages and excess which may exist for the income audit.
To agree with income audit, cash taking banked and cash taking recorded by night audit.
To issue additional floats to cashiers ensuring that the hotel is bonded.
To count all house funds on surprise basis.
To verify credit card point of sale transaction with Opera.
To conduct float checks as required by the procedure manual.
To reimburse petty cash according to the company policy,
To inquire and solve any credit card issues with the bank and other team members.
To perform other department-oriented duties, as and when required.

About YouThe ideal candidate should have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & a completion of Level 2 in ACCA.
