It was through a video posted on his Facebook page this Sunday that the leader of the Reform Party delivered his first analyzes on certain measures announced in the 2024-25 Budget presented on Friday. Roshi Bhadain focused more particularly on the measures relating to the increase in pensions and the CSG Income Allowance as well as the introduction of other allowances such as School Allowance, Maternity Allowance, free internet for young people in 18 to 25 years old, among others.

All these measures, indicates Roshi Bhadain, will cost the State Rs 13 billion. He claims that the State will pocket Rs 25 billion through taxation, CSG, among others. Clearly, he affirms that the money which will be used to pay for various increases in allowances and other allowances will come out of the pockets of taxpayers. “We give Rs 13 billion, we give Rs 25 billion,” he said.
