The driver of the bus which collided with a tram in Vacoas last night, Wednesday April 24, was released on bail.
This 73-year-old man was presented in court this Thursday, April 25 on a provisional charge of “Breach of Light Rail Act”. He was released on bail of Rs 10,000 and after signing an acknowledgment of debt of Rs 30,000.
The bus was heading towards Savoy Square when it collided with a Metro Express tram. According to initial information from the police, the tram had priority at this time.
The investigation into this matter continues.
