The Supreme Court rejected Roshi Bhadain's application challenging his summons by the former Icac. The decision was handed down by judges Iqbal Maghooa and Véronique Kwok. The former Minister of Good Governance is the subject of an investigation concerning several recruitments made when he was in office.

Among these recruitments is that of councilor Andrew Stephenson. The former anti-corruption commission summoned Roshi Bhadain last year, but the former minister turned to the Supreme Court, which issued an injunction while waiting for the case to be examined on its merits. The leader of the Reform Party could thus be summoned by the Financial Crimes Commission (FCC), which has taken over the ICAC investigations.
