It is still raging. As of Thursday, July 4, 2024, there were 27 active cases of dengue fever in Mauritius, including three people hospitalized in public and private hospitals.
In Rodrigues, 13 active cases of dengue fever have been recorded and three people have been hospitalized.
Furthermore, 56 cases of leptospirosis have been reported in Mauritius since January 11, 2024. Two people were hospitalized as of July 4, 2024. This is what emerged from the meeting of the Council of Ministers this Friday, July 5.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness is continuing awareness campaigns on dengue fever and leptospirosis in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
