Two friends of Naresh Kumar Ramdhorny, who lost his life in a road accident, presented themselves at the Goodlands police station yesterday, Tuesday February 20. They admitted that last Saturday, they consumed alcohol in the company of the 28-year-old victim in Roche-Terre.

They then took the road on motorbikes towards Goodlands. On the way back, according to them, Naresh Kumar Ramdhorny lost control of his machine while negotiating the Beau-Plateau roundabout. The two men say they stopped but did not give him any help because they were afraid.

A provisional charge of “Guilty Omission” was brought against them. They were released after providing bail of Rs 5,000.
