Counting ballots on general election day is not possible, according to the Civil Services Federation and other unions.
The federation's president, Vinesh Sewsurn, hosted a press conference on Thursday, after the union met the Electoral Commissioner earlier this week.
According to the FCSOU so far, the Electoral Commission has only obtained the participation of only 14,000 officials for such an exercise, which is far from the 22,000 needed.
On the other hand, Vinesh Sewsurn deplores that there is a lack of police officers. He mentions in passing the importance of training for civil servants.
