The main activities of the company consist essentially in the trading of foreign currencies in Notes, Telegraphic Transfer in all major currencies and global money transfer services with Western Union. There is an extensive network of retail branches throughout the island.Description des missions:Job objective:We are seeking a skilled Finance Manager to join our team in Mauritius. The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization, managing financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring that systems and processes are in place in accordance with Bank of Mauritius guidelines and assist in the auditing process.Key Tasks & Responsibilities:1. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with local accounting standards.
2. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Develop annual budgets and financial forecasts in collaboration with department heads.
- Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial performance.
3. Cash Flow Management:
- Manage cash flow by monitoring bank balances, overseeing accounts payable and receivable, and optimizing cash flow through effective treasury management techniques.
4. Financial Analysis:
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including investment analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and profitability analysis.
5. Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations, laws, and reporting requirements in Mauritius.
- Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary adjustments to financial processes.
6. Tax Planning and Compliance:
- Work closely with external tax advisors to develop tax-efficient strategies and ensure compliance with local tax laws and regulations.
7. Risk Management:
- Identify and assess financial risks facing the organization, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement internal controls to safeguard assets and minimize financial risk.
8. Financial Planning:
- Collaborate with senior management to develop long-term financial plans and strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
9. Team Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance, training, and support to foster professional development and ensure high performance.
10. Audit:
- Coordinate and manage the financial audit process, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and working closely with external auditors.
11. Regulatory:
- Submission of Regulatory and statutory reports.
12.Board Support:
- Coordinate with Directors for Board Meetings and Board Sub-Committee meetings.
Objectives and Performance Indicators:First 6 months:
- Ensure that financial reports are completed on time and accurately.
- Understand the business and take responsibility for all management.
- Integrate into the team and department (team size up to 5 people).
- Provide a comprehensive onboarding report, share opinions, and be proactive with suggestions.
- Establish financial statements for each retail branch to measure profitability and make decisions based on the report’s figures.

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a managerial position.
- In-depth knowledge of Mauritian accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent understanding of financial reporting standards and experience in preparing financial statements.
- Proven track record of implementing effective internal controls and risk management strategies.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate financial information to nonfinancial stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Strong leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and motivating a finance team.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Salary and Benefits Offered:
- Attractive base salary
