Job description: Job Description:Embark on a journey within MCB Capital Markets (MCBCM), the investment banking, proprietary investment and investment management arm of MCB Group Limited (“MCB Group”), the largest banking group in Mauritius. MCBCM engages in a broad range of activities, both business-to-business and business-to-consumer, including corporate finance advisory, investment management, brokerage, private equity, structured solutions and registry services.We are on the lookout to fulfill the following:Job vacancy: Investment AnalystYou will be responsible to analyse listed entities/equities/bonds and ETFs in order to formulate recommendations on investment opportunities for internal and external stakeholders.In this role you will,
- Create and maintain a database in relation to funds invested in foreign markets;
- Collect and maintain up to date financial and investment information about listed and unlisted stocks, bonds, ETFs and other investments;
- Analyse and interpret the information collected including company profiles, stock and bonds prices, yields and future trends and other pertinent investment information with a view to identifying attractive investment opportunities;
- Participate in the research on all markets in view of optimizing on investment opportunities in changing market environments;
- Analyse and value specific equity and debt securities;
- Create and maintain robust financial models in relation to locally listed companies;
- Analyse financial markets, asset classes and companies with a view to identifying attractive investment opportunities;
- Generate investment ideas and work closely with Fund Managers in implementing investment recommendations for domestic and foreign securities;
- Participate actively in internal Investment Committees;
- Develop relationships with the management team of companies covered and counterparties.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of
- At least three years of experience in investment analysis and/or fund management;
- A degree in Economics/Finance/Mathematics/Accounting or professional qualifications such as CFA, Chartered or Certified Accountancy or MBA;
- Solid grasp of the implications of macro-economic and socio-political trends/events on financial markets;
- Strong research, analytical and financial modelling skills with an ability to multi-task;
- Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills (English and French);
- Proficient with Excel, MS PowerPoint and Word.
