Securities Services BU provides services to local and foreign private and institutional clients investing in financial instruments in Mauritius and internationally.We are on the lookout for:Job vacancy: Middle Office SpecialistYour responsibility as Middle Office Specialist is to ensure that preliminary tasks have been duly performed in accordance with banking procedures and policies and effectively manage the section activities and resources in order to achieve prompt and accurate maintenance of market and reference data to support the development of the securities business and to enable the Bank/Group to meet its ambitions in terms of efficiency and client satisfaction.In this role you will,
- Conduct periodic stakeholder meetings to ensure open communication between business areas and keep a detailed record of all meetings / issues / strategic initiatives;
- Design and support implementation of system enhancements geared towards increasing data maintenance accuracy, including the development of control reports;
- Handle and solve client issues and complaints promptly and adequately, escalating to the Coordinator special cases, and obtain feedback for service improvements;
- Monitor and report promptly any data quality exceptions to concerned stakeholders such that appropriate actions, inclusive of communication to clients, updating client reports, be taken accordingly;
- Review and propose actions to improve existing internal methods processes and/ or propose innovative methods/processes/procedures to improve work efficiency, to mitigate risks, to eliminate financial losses and enhance customer service experience;
- Assist the Coordinator in the development, review of SLAs and appropriate mechanisms to track performance of activities and processing time (including matrix for turnaround time of clients’/ stakeholders requests) with internal and external stakeholders with a view to deliver continuous quality service to customers;
- Supervise the activities of the section on a day to day basis with a view to monitor adherence to policies and procedures applicable to the sector of activity;
- Develop a thorough understanding of local and foreign security trades, transfers and deposits;
- Conduct regular cost analysis and propose strategic solutions to reduce vendor costs, control staff costs and mitigate financial losses related to data maintenance;
- Supervise efficiently activities of the section on a day to day basis to ensure that all clients’ instructions(local/overseas) are handled promptly in a timely manner so that there are no claims from clients.

- Builds partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of
- Degree in Banking / Finance;
- 1 year of working experience in team supervision;
- 3 years of working experience in Banking / Financial including 2 years of working experience in Investment Sector / Securities Services;
