“Mo pena apartman ni terin a l’exterier mo pena sa kantite kas la mwa. » This is the first reaction of Richard Duval, leader of the New Democrats party, this Thursday, June 6 in Curepipe during the launch of the party in constituency No. 17 (Curepipe/Midlands).

The MP thus reacted to the preliminary investigation initiated against him by the Financial Crime Commission (FCC) around allegations according to which he carried out a land transaction abroad.

Confirming his candidacy for the next general elections at No. 17, Richard Duval also expressed his desolation regarding the state of Curepipe, despite the fact that the city has as representative the No. 2 of the government, Steven Obeegadoo.

This launch also confirmed that, in addition to Richard Duval, the deputy leader of the Mauritian Militant Movement (MMM), Ajay Guness, as well as Michael Sik Yuen will be candidates in Curepipe/Midlands.
