Murder of Vanessa Lagesse: the testimony of Bernard Maigrot read in court

The deposition of Bernard Maigrot recorded on March 24, 2001 at the MCIT was read in court this Tuesday. Former police officer Daniel Monvoisin who had attended this exercise was called to the witness box during this hearing.

He explained that a series of 48 questions were asked of the defendant that day.

In his testimony, Bernard Maigrot explained to investigators that approximately 8 years before the death of Vanessa Lagesse, they had a romantic affair which lasted a few months and that thereafter, they remained friends. The last time he says he met the victim dates back to March 6, 2001, four days after the stylist's body was found in her bungalow in Grand-Baie.
