The trial brought against Bernard Maigrot for the murder of Vanessa Lagesse, committed in March 2001, has been postponed until next Wednesday. The case was called before the Assize Court this Monday morning, May 27. The reason: one of the members of the jury is still unwell.
This case was to begin last Friday but was postponed for the same reason. Witnesses were expected to testify before Judge Luchmyparsad Aujayeb. A total of 53 witnesses have been subpoenaed in this case.
Remember that Bernard Maigrot pleaded not guilty to the murder of Vanessa Lagesse. The stylist's body was discovered in her bathtub on March 9, 2001. Injuries were also found on her body.
