The Private Notice Question (PNQ) from the leader of the opposition, Shakeel Mohamed, this Tuesday April 23, will focus on the floods which took place in Mauritius from January 15 to April 21, 2024.
Shakeel Mohamed wants to know the number of drain projects implemented and completed, their cost, the name of the contractors engaged, among others. He also wants to know all the projects carried out at Ruisseau du Pouce, Canal Dayot, Rue Mgr Leen, la Butte and Les Salines as well as the details related to the work on Place d'Armes in Caudan. In addition, his questions will relate to the measures taken by the authorities to minimize the impact of these floods.
This PNQ will be addressed to Bobby Hurreeram, the Minister of National Infrastructure and Community Development.
