QuestionsAccommodation-HotelsWe’re looking for accommodation that can fit our budget…

Hey there ! 👋 My partner and I will land in Mauritius on the 30th of January and we’re looking for accommodation that can fit our budget. No hotels, only small and intimate B&B’s, self-catering or guesthouses, obviously the closer to the beach the better. Our budget is 24,000 Mauritian Rupees for 2 people, 10 nights. Any recommendations ? 🙏

Try asking Steven Sautron. We were in his accommodation and very satisfied. Somewhere on these pages he also had an offer.. Apartment 5 minutes from the Flic en Flac beach (2 bedroom, living room, kitchen).

Please check the relevant prices at Chantauvent Guest House Mauritius in the South.. excellent as they have sea facing rooms as well as self-catering accommodation.. enjoy the best part of the island.. Blue Bay is also round the corner..

What area are you thinking of? There are some nice privately rendered apartments that you could get for that amount.

Mauritius is believed to be the only known habitat of the now extinct flightless Dodo bird. The bird, once present in huge numbers on the island, was flightless owing to a shortage of predators and thus remained safe on the ground. The arrival of humans in the form of sailors saw vast numbers of dodos being killed for their meat. With humans came rodents and primates who destroyed and consumed the dodo's eggs. The entire dodo population was wiped out within a century.
