Skip to contentPosting anon as planning a surprise for my husband 🥰 Beachcomber Mauricia vs Shandrani?? We got married at the Dinarobin in November and absolutely loved it. We want to go back for our wedding anniversary (maybe October or November) but think we will split our time and stay at 2 hotels. We want to spend 8/9 days at the first hotel, and then the final 4/5 days at the Dinarobin. We loved the Beachcomber brand so are keen to stay with them, but are having a hard time choosing the first hotel. Think it’s between Mauricia or Shandrani… Mauricia for the location to get out there and see a local town, and shandrani for the beach/snorkelling etc. We are a mid 40’s couple with no kids and would be choosing an all inclusive option. Has anyone been to both who could give their opinion? Thank you ☺️

Best hotel is Canonnier Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa
Shandrani is more quite. Mauricia is good for family as well as cannonier. You have also the victoria for two. The beach there is beautifull as well and very quiet
Mauricia as good area if pushing boat Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury as we did that with Dinarobin Beachcomber Golf Resort & Spa this April and probably doing for my birthday in April 2024
I went snorkeling at Mauricia, was very nice
We have been to both and are currently at Shandrani. I know it’s personal taste but food is awful at both of them. Dry stews and casseroles most evenings. We ended up eating out when staying at Mauricia we found it so bad. Shandrani we don’t have that option and the highlight of Mauritius night was roti’s which we buy on the street for 15rps. A 5* hotel serving a 15rupee course for dinner?
Having said that we have always found the food at Cannonier to be good.
I’ve been to both, twice…would rather go back to Mauricia….better location. Would definitely book a beachfront room though, makes all the difference.
