FISH BRIYANI 🐟🌿🧅🍋🌶🧄🐟🌿🧅🍋🌶🧄

1 and 1/2 kgs rockcod fresh fish, slice, cleaned and washed or fish of your choice
Boil 1 and 1/2 to 2 cups rice, keep aside
Boil 1 cup masoor, keep aside
Boil 3 to 4 eggs, keep aside
Cube 2 to 3 potatoes - tinge with little yellow powder, fry and keep aside

Marinate Fish as follows:

In a bowl add 2 Tbsp lemon juice - I use fresh lemon
Add 3/4 cup crispy fried onions
Crush 2 tsp ground red chillies
2 Tbsp ground garlic
2 Tbsp Fish Spice
2 Tbsp kashmiri chillie powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp dhana/ jeera powder
1 Tbsp whole jeera
1 tsp garam masala
2 tsp salt
2 Tbsp tomato paste
2 to 3 liquidised tomatoes
1/2 cup plain yoghurt
1/4 cup maas
1 tsp saffron - crush and steep in boiled water

In a flat pot on medium heat, add oil and little ghee or butter. Add the whole spices 2 to 3 cinnamon sticks 3 black peppercorns 3 elachie pods 4 cloves 1 large star anise Add the marinated fish into the pot, placing them properly. Add handful of chopped dhania and mint. Add a few whole chillies. Add the masoor over the marinated fish Add the fried potatoes and halved boiled eggs, spreading them evenly over the masoor. Add the boiled rice, add some ghee over the top, add some crushed onions over. Add a sprinkle of the saffron over the rice or add a sprinkle of food colouring powder. Add little chopped dhania on top. Add 1/4 cup of water over the top.

Steam on low heat for 25 to 30 minutes on stove till cooked. Serve with mango atchaar, mint/dhania sour milk/cucumber dip, salads, paapar. 🐟🌿🌶🍋🧄🧅🐟🌿🌶🍋🧄🧅
