Hi everyone !
We arrive in Mauritius next week and staying for 10 days.
Really looking forward to our trip.
We are staying in a villa in Tamarin and rented a car.
As a Muslim are there any halal restaurants on the island which would be recommended or good seafood restaurants to cater to our diet?
Thank you

Hello and welcome to Mauritius 🇲🇺
Most restaurants in Mauritius are halaal .They should affix their halaal certificate. You can ask for that also.
Moreso if you need an excellent taxi/guide contact Nawshad on w/app +23057251400.He knows where to eat halaal also .
Enjoy your holidays..

Lots of halal around. Not sure about Tamarin. If you drive to Flic en Flac, you’ll get Cascavelle shopping centre there are some take aways there, and there’s a few restaurants like Zub Xpress, you’ll have prayer room as well, it’s opposite to the beach. Most shopping centre have halal. I don’t think there’s a certified halal place in TriBeCa shopping centre yet.
But you’ll get in
Bagatelle- centre side
La Croisette- North side
Cascavelle- in Flic en Flac.

And if you’re doing your trip to plouis, lots and lots of halal around there. From the market, walk to La Rue deforges, ask anyone to direct you there. They do street food from 5 or 6pm everyday.

Make sure you check their halal certificate.

Everything is halal pretty much, you can ask but most restaurants are.
There is a great new burger place in the Super U complex called smasher and then nice restaurants are
Osaporn
Happy Rajah
Cosa NOSTRA

And then there are loads of food options in Bagatelle and Tribeca malls

tamarin is the best 🤩 enjoy!

Welcome to my paradise island of Mauritius. Dream Mauritius. Eat Mauritius. Don’t forget to take a trip to Ile aux Cerfs or Gunners Coin on a hot summer afternoon after lunch in a bright sunshine to glide on seawater on speedboat.
