QuestionsGeneral-MiscNational ID card query
Mm805 asked 4 months ago

Hello all,In Mauritius for two weeks, and I’ve managed to get recent print outs for my parents birth certificates and marriage entry (all events took place in Mauritius). This was to satisfy the 3 month validity rule.As I was born in the uk, but have a Mauritius passport (as well as British) was wondering where I need to go get my id card card. Can I go to any national ID card centre, such as rose hill or do I need to seek clearance at the PMO in Port Louis first then go to national id card unit? As I was born overseas, I’m getting conflicting info from family and the internet so need clarification. Thanks

More than 1.2 million people reside on the Mauritius islands, leading to a high population density (highest in the entire African continent). There are more women than men on the island, leading to a very healthy gender ratio.
