Do it i would say. We stayed there in June this year its winter there but nice weather 26 degrees not very humig and in the nort less Rain. We stayed at the ravenala attitude resort. Had a great time there, beautiful island. Hire a car and explore the beauty of this tropical island 🥰

Beachcomber resort and spa. Best Time between october to december

Depends on your budget..like everywhere. We love the Oberoi resort. A haven of peace and tranquility, Have stayed there every time ( about 6) and never been disappointed…except by the weather. It’s an island so is apt to suffer cyclones/ anticyclones. We have been in September/October/November. Xx

Weatherwise October also not too crowded. Where? North is better again weatherwise (less rainy) but south more interesting. Type of accommodation depends on your preferences, do you prefer fake luxury or more independent and more full immersion?

I especially love the Black River district 🏝️

Definitely recommend Mauritius.

Best time April-June or October. If you want to do off peak and less rain.
Don’t do Jan-Feb since it’s cyclonic and wet season. They don’t get cyclone every year but might do.

Check the North. You’ll get lots of beaches and and easy shopping. Also things to do like sea excursions.

Places to see:
Plouis market
Casela Safari park
Crocodile park
Vallee des couleurs
5 islands trip
A tour around the coast

After much searching and chatting within the group, we decided off season in June(Mauritian winter) as good if not better than UK summer, staying in the west coast flic en flac resort, thinking that this is more central to the island for visiting places also away from the east coast trade winds.

We visited Mauritius for the first time earlier in December. It was wonderful and we definitely hope to return there in a couple of years. We stayed at Lagoon Attitude in the North of the Island on All Inclusive.
Warm sea, hot weather and only 3 short rain showers while we were there..
I can highly recommend this great hotel for a first visit 🦤

Black Reef Appartments Mauritius is amazing. Loved every visit to Mauritius and Trou Aux Biches, Pamplemousses, Mauritius . So much to do. Great location and so central to all the tourist attractions. Self catering with separate entrance to each of the four floors.
