It’s a tropical
Island and you can get ( warm) rain at any time of year.
We always (8x) use Shandrani Beachcomber Resort & Spa as it’s in its own lagoon.
I can personally recommend Eric and Nancy who own Speedboatseaduction. They can arrange a personal boat tour. If you want to snorkel and see the marine life- Eric can take you in the water and snorkel with you. Beach BBQ, rum tasting, waterfalls monkeys, any of the ( islands- he tries to avoid the crowds.
Depends what you want. We normally allocate a day out- your hotel can arrange a local taxi- I’m sure you’ll get lots of suggestions here.
Eric’s Dad is a former swimming champion and has also renovated a sailing boat if you fancy something original and slower paced.
If you’ve never been before- La Vanille park has dodo exhibitions and feeding the giant tortoises.
There are some beautiful beaches at Le Morne and sunsets there are amazing.
You’ll have a lovely time- don’t worry about a bit of warm rain

We stayed at Veranda Palmer and used a taxi service directly outside the hotel…. £50 for the driver into Port Louis via some sights ….. waited for us while we shopped and bought us back fab 👌

We stayed on east coast in May/June and it was gorgeous, yes it rains sometimes and it can be windy, but it’s a tropical island and tbh the rain never lasts long.

Highly recommend MyMagical Moments for private excursions and planning a tour, which a wealth of knowledge

Kevin Dewkaran taxis is the one to go for – he is marvellous and so friendly and helpful. When we were there in November he and his drivers took us wherever we wanted to go and organised the 5 island tour and a sunset catamaran trip and they were amazing. Couldn’t recommend highly enough 👌👌👌and DONT WORRY ABOUT THE WEATHER !!! It’s a tropical island so you will more than likely get some rain but it’s always warm and the rain doesn’t last long normally. Enjoy the experience as it is truly wonderful ☀️☀️☀️☀️☀️🙏
