I've been in this beautiful island for over a week. Started in the north, I'm now in the South. I believe there is a market for clothing and suviniers near the airport. Does anyone know we're exactly, a name would be appreciated. We want to stop over there on our way to the airport.

Best to buy from supermarkets where the prices are clearly displayed. In the market there are two prices…one for locals and one for tourists and the tourists’ price is not a discount.

While being ruled by the French East India Company, sugarcane plantations prospered in Mauritius, making it one of the most significant contributors to the economy. Mauritius also remained an important stopping point on the trade routes from Europe before the opening of the Suez Canal in 1869.
