QuestionsTourism-AdviceWhat are the best things to see in Mauritius?
Anonymous asked 3 months ago
Dear community,I will be in Mauritius for 2 weeks and would love recommendations on the best things to see. I have booked a flight to Le Morne and will be traveling with two 70-year-old individuals, so strenuous activities are not possible. I have already found attractions like Flic En Flac Beach, Les 7 Cascades, Chamarel Waterfalls, Le Morne Public Beach, Île aux Cerfs, Black River Gorges National Park, Tamarind Falls, Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Botanical Garden, Terres des Sept Couleurs, Ganga Talao, and Cap Malheureux. Are there any other must-see attractions that I may have missed?Thank you!

Hello,
A boat trip from Le Morne beach is an activity to add to the list.
Seeing the beautiful mountain from the sea, snorkeling in the lagoon, Crystal rock visit, eventually Bénitiers island.

I think this will be enough. Remember you are on holiday. Just relax and take it easy. Have a wonderful holiday.

7 cascades is quite physical. Here is a nice stroll to a waterfall

Before you go back home, you will need to take back an amazing souvenir with you, one that will warm winter day and keep you smiling for a very long time. Case Nautique Mahebourg – Snorkeling & Kayaking Tours is reference for snorkeling trips. I invite you to join us in Mahebourg bay as cherry on top of your 2 weeks holiday.

I would say maybe vallee de couleurs instead of 7 coloured earth. If you go on a sunny day, you see various colours (23). You can request for a guided quad bike just to see the colours with the 70 year olds, then sit at the restaurant and have a meal. Ask before going.

There are 7 small stone pyramids in Mauritius on the south side on a flat plain known as Plaine Magnien. Only discovered recently, nobody is quite sure about their origins.
