Re-registration of SIM cards: “Nothing to do with elections”, says PM

The measure concerning the re-registration of SIM cards has nothing to do with the elections, it has nothing political, affirmed the Prime Minister at a press conference this Tuesday afternoon, June 4. He was answering questions from journalists after the seventh meeting of the High Level Drugs and HIV Council.

The re-registration of SIM cards is one of the recommendations of the Lam Shang Leen Report, underlines the Prime Minister, who affirms that he does not work according to “deadlines”. Those who allege that this measure is a tactic to rig the general elections “no more defeat,” adds the head of government.
