A record temperature of 49.9°C was recorded in India's capital New Delhi on Tuesday, the weather bureau said.
The Indian Meteorological Services, which reports “strong heat waves”, reported this record temperature in two stations in the suburbs of New Delhi, Narela and Mungeshpur.
