Job description: Job Description:Embark on a journey within our Global and International Corporates Business Unit (GIC). As part of the Corporate and Institutional Banking Strategic Business Unit (CIB), this team represents one of the coverage teams aiming at positioning MCB as the reference bank for customers doing business with, in or from Africa and/or using the Mauritius International Financial Centre (MIFC) – such as Funds, Large African Groups and Multinational Corporates – by addressing their banking needs with bespoke solutions and high quality service.Our teams are composed of young and dynamic professionals, who have gained exposure and experience in answering sophisticated client’s requirements, while nurturing and developing value-based business relationships with the customers’ ecosystem and we are currently recruiting for the two specialisation areas described below:The Funds TeamThe team focuses on providing structured and tailor-made credit solutions mainly to Private Credit and Private Equity funds evolving on the African continent and/or using the MIFC to invest into Asia. Over the years, we have refined our credit appetite and develop a range of products, which enables us to respond to the funds’ needs during their life cycle at various levels of the ecosystem.The Corporates TeamThis team has a dedicated mandate to provide transactional and financing solutions to Large African Corporates and Multinationals doing business on the African Continent. By leveraging on a clear and dedicated appetite, the Corporates Team has developed a recognized expertise in a wide range of solutions suited for African business needs, through bespoke capabilities in cross-border Financing, Trade Finance, Payments and Financial Markets solutions. The Corporates Team’s objective is to be the reference relationship bank in the African region.We are on the lookout for:Job vacancy: Relationship ManagerBy joining GIC as a Relationship Manager you will work in a team managing portfolios of clients, promoting MCB’s products and services and exploiting business development opportunities with existing and new clients as well as intermediaries and partners, in line with set standards, to grow its business value whilst mitigating risk.In this role you will,

• Establish, originate, nurture and develop relationship with existing clients, prospective ones as well as intermediaries and partners through regular contact focusing on growing value and providing excellent service.
• Develop business from new & existing clients, through existing products and services as well as from new offerings, focusing on strategic penetration into identified market/sectors while managing profitability of client portfolio.
• Represent the bank in appropriate forums and/or any public relation and networking events.
• Acquire a thorough understanding of targeted client operations and requirements in order to propose and/or design the optimal financing or transactional solutions to clients, in collaboration with product and structuring teams.
• Manage customer relationships and deals/transactions, ensuring coordination with internal stakeholders along the value chain.
• Capitalise on analytics and efficiently leverage on existing tools and platforms to exploit potential business opportunities, design targeted solutions and improve customer service.

We are looking for candidates who have a minimum of

• An undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Management or a relevant professional qualification or equivalent;
• A Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Management or equivalent as an advantage;
• At least 3 years’ of working experience within a financial institution, with demonstrated focus on financial analysis, client servicing and relationship management dealing with Large International Corporates or Funds or at least 3 years’ experience in corporate finance/ advisory in a leading institution;
• Experience of working with clients operating in African markets and in the Mauritius International Financial Centre as well as a strong network with African corporates as an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of banking products & services including various financing solutions, transactional banking offerings, global markets and treasury management solutions etc., as an advantage;
• Good understanding of the various financing structures, structured solutions;
• Ability and willingness to spend a significant amount of time for international business travel;
• Excellent business development skills;
• Strong analytical skills;
• Interpersonal skills – Ability to deal with C suite executives and capacity to engage and develop relationships with C-suite client level;
• Communication/ Presentation skills.
