Sawmynaden acquitted: “I never lied,” says Simla Kistnen

“I never lied. Everything I said is true,” says Simla Kistnen. The widow of Soopramanien Kistnen spoke on RadioPlus following the verdict handed down by the Intermediate Court this Thursday morning, May 30, in the trial brought against former Minister of Commerce, Yogida Sawmynaden, in the “Constituency Clerk” case. The latter was found not guilty.

“I can never accept this decision because I have never received a rupee as a 'Constituency clerk',” she said.

Simla Kistnen says she will appeal to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to intervene in this matter.
