Theft in Le Morne: Czech tourists victims of a theft estimated at Rs 200,000

More than Rs 200,000 worth of personal belongings belonging to two Czech nationals were stolen from their car. The incident occurred yesterday, July 3, while the couple was on the beach at Le Morne. A window of the vehicle was broken by the thief(s). Their bag, containing passports, driving licenses, a mobile phone, a laptop, among other things, was taken away. There was also a sum of Rs 5,000 in foreign currency. The police are continuing their investigation with a view to tracing the suspect(s).
