As a result of the torrential rains, a two-story house belonging to the Ramsahye family (Dholl Puri Maraz) collapsed at Swami Sivananda Street, Tranquebar, in Port-Louis. The eight members of the family were able to leave the house to find shelter with a neighbor. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
According to our information, the ground floor was submerged by water due to flooding following the heavy rains which fell on the country this Sunday. More details in video.
